Paramount Sucks Customer Reviews and Feedback

From Everything.Sucks

Paramount Pictures Corporation (commonly known as Paramount Pictures and also known simply as Paramount) is an American film studio and subsidiary of ViacomCBS. It is the fifth oldest film studio in the world, the second oldest film studio in the United States, and the sole member of the "Big Five" film studios still located in the city limits of Los Angeles.

Nazar had a dispapointing experience with Paramount Pictures studio tour, here is what he had to say on Yelp, "No parking on site. They suggest you park across the street from Paramount Pictures studio for $15. If you drive 2 blocks away there is street parking. 1st street away is 2 hour parking. 2 streets away is no limit parking. Once inside before you begin you'll see a nice chalk board with 30 or so shows that they're filming at each sound stage but of course they'll only take you inside 1-2 sound stages that ARE NOT filming. One will probably be dr. Phil -- my wife was maybe sorta kinda excited about that, I couldn't care less. On the tour you'll hear lots of stories about Marlon Brando this, Lucy from I love Lucy that, someone else from 50s, this person from 30s. You really won't care. The end of the tour you end in a "warehouse" of props that has random props and is not really a "warehouse" just two rooms with sparsely placed items. All in all, the tour was completely underwhelming. For touring a studio, I really thought we'd see more, maybe someone actually filing something and us seeing it through a window or in the background, I mean we're touring a movie/tv studio. Instead we got a bunch of stories about who cares who. I would not recommend."

Former Employee - Senior Financial Analyst says

"Heirachy is the only thing that matters, no money for training or proper equipment to maintain management salaries."

Former Employee - Legal Assistant says

"treated less than. always refused yearly raises b/c company wasn't "doing well". total BS."

Former Employee - Page says

"Lots of politics, it's a favorites game for opportunities."

Former Employee - Manager says

"Understaffed so you will be wearing lots of hats and working long hours. Leadership challenges (too many execs who can't agree make it challenging to make decisions). Promotions are nearly impossible, don't expect to move up here. Salary restrictions (don't expect even a standard cost of living raise). Work/Life balance is not something this company values (don't expect flexible hours as the company does not even provide laptops to give you that option. Women beware, this company doesn't value you."

Former Employee - Intern says

"Despite being incredibly excited to land my internship, looking back at it, it was pointless and a complete waste of my time. It also didn't help with the fact my intern supervisor was actually incompetent and condescending. I get strong personalities are a part of working in entertainment but this individual was ridiculous. Furthermore, the fact this supervisor is still a part of the internship program is actually absurd. Additionally, the small department I worked for was a complete mess, and communication between all of them was terrible. I've held numerous internship positions, but even though this is the most recognizable company on my resume, my time with Paramount/this department was by far the WORST internship throughout my undergraduate career. Paramount is on the decline and I am happy I'm no longer a part of the company."

Former Employee - Executive says

"lack of strategy, lost over $400M in 2016, 6 years in a row as worst studio in hollywood ... hard to turn around without big $$$"

Former Employee - Anonymous Employee says

"Internal battle within IT of Paramount and VIACOM on who is the "boss". VIACOM IT div. was looking to continue to expand in agile, devops, etc. Paramount was in ITIL mode. Paramount management was clueless on the difference and were looking to provide ITIL services to an agile (VIACOM IT) org... Go figure!"

"Waste of three moths. Intern somewhere else"

Current Employee - Director of Finance says

"20% lower pay scale than other major studios Horrible slate. The group I am in ( Home Entertainment) only issues bonuses to directors and above. Analysts, managers and senior managers don't get anything. Deals in place to give too much $ to producers and above the line where Paramount is set to lose money from the get-go. International business is a joke - no leadership, no clear directives on initiatives. No wonder Fox and Universal are taking over. Extremely hard to back-fill a position because Corporate Finance doesn't approve the headcount even though it is not a new opening , but rather to fill a position that someone LEFT."

Former Employee - Anonymous Employee says

"Turnover is unbelievable in the finance department. Those who stick it out are only there for a paycheck nothing else. Lots of gossiping and cliques in the office. Absolutely zero team morale. Everyone works by themselves and the managers seem under qualified for the manager title. It helps being a girl as the guy managers are sexist. Expect 10 to 12 hour days and false promises on promotion"

Support Worker (Former Employee) says

"the service is very poor service. i would definitely not reccomend it. the pay is unfair pay. the money is paid late. the staff in charge of shifts are very rude."

Scaffold Labourer (Former Employee) says

"The so called boss would play the colleges against each other would never give people a chance to rest and refuses to pay wages thats owed out to the employers he sacks. Would never recommend for anyone wanting to get into scaffolding.Sometimes you work 10hour days without a break might even be 12You get spoken to badly and also get forced to work late without extra pay"

Supervisor (Former Employee) says

"Terrible Managers, unclean work environment, bad procedures for cleaning, no investment into the quality of the food, understaffed, employees are over worked and underpaid. You got to go home at the end of the dayonly 15% discount on food, no breaks, understaffed, underpaid, and overworked."

Worker (Former Employee) says

"Pay is considerately lower than other jobs of the same level in this area. Lack of management and training for employees really hurts the work environment. Promises made and "favors" are never kept. I would only recommend working here as a last resort because you need a job. Management thinks they can do every job by themselves and constantly talks poorly of all of their employees behind their backs."

Administrative Assistant (Former Employee) says

"Just very poor management. Would not advise to work here unless you are a yes BOSS type of person. Do not look to grow with this company. No overtime at all."

Marketing (Former Employee) says

"The recruitment is manipulative. Promised more for pay than given. Would work 50-60 hrs a week for commission doing door to door sales with little time for outside responsibilities.Self AssestA lot of working, Inconsistent pay. Unreliable."

RMA (Former Employee) says

"Need better management in particular not crabby ( b*****) person that handles FMLA etc... Better treatment of employees (ones that especially have good work ethnic and loyalty). When company Picnic held (time held was not good for employees that had satellite offices and couldn't attend). Wages need to be based on job experience when hired not what everyone gets when starting that position. Better raises not percentage across the board.Whoo whoo company picnicPoor wages, unfriendly and back stabbing co-workers, office managers, and Doctors."

Materials and Logistics Manager (Former Employee) says

"worked 7 days a week in a foreign country with extreme weather conditions the stores off a automotive is very different from conventional stores and very interestingnot a lotthey dont care for their employees"

Electrical design and intregrator. (Former Employee) says

"At my start with Paramount it was no trouble to work 200 + hours per month. You were looking forward to go to work. Then the company went through a stage where CEO's were changed just about every 6 months and that put the company in a financial difficulty. productivity and delivery's suffered.Medical and pension assistance.Worry if you will be paid."

Yardman (Former Employee) says

"Just your standard working environment in and yard. I would work and take deliveries, I would rarely be helped, but there was and unlimited amount of coffeenot much team work"

Packer (Former Employee) says

"It's a job I myself wouldn't recommend this job to anyone the supervisors are poorly educated with poor attitudes and selfish. It's a bad environment. Workers would go out for smoke breaks an do illegal things supervisors kept to themselves team coaches as well. There was friendly people there but mostly addicts.Friendly people work thereBad communication, rules were broken all the time, supervision was poor"

Produksi (Former Employee) says

"Untuk pekerjaan sangat lossssssssssssssssssssssssssMakan beli sendiriWaktu rehat yang sangat sedikit"

Executive Administrative Assistant (Former Employee) says

"It is a good company to work in but it's very difficult to work your way up the ladder. There is not much support when it comes to work and a lot of information does not get shared which makes it difficult to do any job properly. Management is quite distant and relationships are hard to maintain. Co-workers, as much as people try to work together, it's difficult to trust each other. The hardest part of my job was always being sworn at and kept back in a position I wasn't allowed to move away from which was Reception. The most enjoyable part of my job was attending to our VIP Clientele - arranging transport, meeting their needs, hotel arrangements etcFree Lunch, Cellphone allowances, meeting VIPs.Not a great place to grow as as individual"

Manager (Former Employee) says

"The staff here is very young, it creates an atmosphere similar to high school cliques. Chinese operated! Management is a joke they lead with intimidation and disrespect. Its a jobManagement staff is bad crew is defiant"

Mgmt (Former Employee) says

"Owner makes hasty decisions based on feedback from staff he likes without considering what is best for the residents or his stated beliefs. There is no stability."

Medical Receptionist (Former Employee) says

"typical day at work was very busy but I didn't talk much, everyone was pretty much nice to your face but tried getting you in trouble behind your back. Hardest part about my job was learning how to understand doctors who didn't speak English very clearly. That was a challenge. The most enjoyable part were the patients."

Chef (Former Employee) says

"Its a job for culinary students and begging chefs. A goid partime but no dependable. I learned alot their and seen some famous chefs. I had to move pass this stage in my life."

Press Technician (Former Employee) says

"I didn't like paramount that much it was hot, the machine kept braking down, they had a supervisor that was 23 years old and had been working there for 1 week."

factory work (Former Employee) says

"not friendly people, alot of younger people working there and not following rules regulations, hours were long and night shift, learned few new thingsbenefitsnot good pay"

Temporary employee (Current Employee) says

"The pay is poor, management needs improvement. You wil get a lot of hours and a chance to get benefits and to roll over after 90 days if you start as a temp.Quick and easy to learnStanding for long periods of time"

Gustavo Garcia Gonzalez says

"In the website, service is offered as a premium company with a Lot of experience. The truth, i had a scheduled flight , and one day before 20:30 hrs. I received an email, not even a phone call, that they had to cancel because they didnt realized that the jet had a programed maintainance. No solutions offered, only that they wont give me the service eventhough paid and with a signed contract, unless i paid extra for a médium jet. Which i did. The didnt offered a solution for the Same price eventhough it was their responsability and mistake. If i know this 2 or 3 days before i easily booked another plane, but 14 hours before the flight, i would have expected a more professional service. Be careful, they dont Own airplanes, only charter, So, they dont have any control over this."

Axel Schultze says

"I tried to charter but the documents have been very confusing, stating if I pay in advance, I don't need to have a credit card for deposit then I needed one. I paid the fee via the rather complicated money transfer but the money was not found anywhere and the plane could not be hold. 7 days later they "found" the money and returned it but took over $100 "processing fee" I think no movie plot could come up with such a terrible service. I see a lot of positive feedback but I just didn't. Sorry."

Tom Hakimi says

"Initial service seemed great. However, charted plane was dirty and unfriendly pilots. In addition, car service offered was never made clear and felt over priced."

Rebekah Stewart says

"The ground crew broke the handle of my alligator train case. Flight was fine."
